I have a 19 yr old cat that has struggled with constipation for the last several years. We Had been doing 1/4 tsp of MiraLax twice a day mixed in her wet food with extra water added and she was still struggling. She would only go every 3-4 days. After 3 doses of this she left a very large poop. Although, she does not appreciate the taste it does works. Would also recommend not giving just after a meal as she vomited after the second dose given shortly after her evening meal.

I was concerned my finicky kitty wouldn’t like it, so I mix it into a small amount of can food and then add a little more food on top of it so she smells the wet food instead of sniffing out the product and so far it’s working!! She’s tiny so I only put two drops in each meal for her and she eats three times a day so she’s getting a total is six drops a day and it has definitely made a difference in her bowel movements…I’ve also starting adding a teaspoon of water to her wet food, so she’s getting a little extra bit of water and I got her a water fountain bowl for Christmas and it has encouraged her to drink more water throughout the day.

I write this review because I believe it would be beneficial to cat owners like me. I have a 15 years old cat who has skin cancer. Her general health is declining and she has constipation at the same time. After reading reviews on Amazon, I decide to give this medication a try. My cat now uses the litter box normally and daily. I would recommend this product. The reason why I take off 1 star is because it might not work in some cases so I am not sure if it will work on your cat.

Surprise ..she eats it without a fuss..not sure why as she seldom eats anything mixed with her food. Still not sure, after 1 week, if it is working or how much it is working. She is on a no grain diet so does not poop a lot anyway. Can let you know more after a month of feeding this without having to take her for an enema, or giving her lactose.
